Sage, The Gardens Mid Valley

Firstly, a big thank you to my cousin, Jun who works at Sage for making the reservation and getting us such a good table. Sage is run by Chef Takashi Kimura who cooks French cuisine with Japanese inspired ingredients. It was some pretty spectacular food!

The Chef's Degustation Menu with our bottle of wine

Consommé Jelly with Uni and Artichoke Cream

Fedellini Pasta with Hokkaido Scallop and Anchovy

Seared Foie Gras with Red Wine Reduction

Grilled Japanese Seabass with Maitake and Aubergine
(the tiny slivers on top are shave summer truffles)

Wagyu Rib Eye with Asparagus and Yuzukoshou

Kyoho Grapes Granité

Warm Tart Tartin with Calvados Ice Cream

Chocolate Macaroons to go with coffee
Every course was spectacular except I didn't really warm to the Uni, which was funny since I am a huge fan of Uni and caviar. Ribbit and I also weren't blown away by the dessert. Other than that, the foie gras was sinfully delicious, the seabass was stunning and the wagyu was melt-in-your mouth!

Yay! Always happy to see a foodie post on your blog :D

I haven't been to Sage yet although I keep hearing about it...it's RM100 per person for a set lunch, right? But everyone tells me it's worth them money...the desserts look amazing!

Jun? Chan?

Yin, yes there is a RM100 set lunch but the thing is that the chef doesn't cook the set lunch menu. Degustation is only available at night. Remember to make reservations! They are so popular that some nights they turn people away.

My cousin is Jun Wong. She works as a chef-to-be in Sage.
